Get the most out of a weekend in London!

If you only have a weekend to escape from the routine of your everyday life there is no better place to go than...London! Two or three days are never enough but if you know where to go and what to do you will be able to enjoy the best parts of the city! 

The first thing to do, is to try and book a central hotel to spare some time (and money) on transportation and of course...start your day early!

Friday
Walk
Marylebone High Street - a street with lovely shops and cafes where you can enjoy a brunch or light lunch -try Patisserie Valerie  or Le Pain Quotidien.

Shopping 
As you go down Marylebone High Street you will reach Oxford Street, the ideal place for shopping therapy. Don't miss Topshop, Forever 21 and Primark for some cheap shopping. In Bond Street you can shop many fancy and expensive labels. You should definately visit Selfridges one of the world's best department stores. After your shopping try a traditional English Afternoon Tea aHIX Restaurant, Champagne & Caviar Bar which overlooks the accessory hall at Selfridges. 

Dinner 
Between Selfridges and Bond Street Station you can find St Christopher's Place with many restaurants and pubs. Try an excellent Thai food at Busaba Eathai located at Bird Street.

Theatre
Try to book tickets in advance to watch a play when you are in London. London theatres are definately a must.

Saturday
Walk
Start your day at Portobello Road in Notting Hill. The Portobello Market every Saturday is one of the best markets in the city.

While you are in London you should definately visit one of the Galleries or Museums in the City. There are plenty to choose from - Royal Academy of Arts, Tate Modern, National Gallery, Saatchi Gallery British Museum, National History Museum. Check out the latest exhibitions however, it is good to know that all offer standart exhibitions for free that run all year round. 

Shopping
Continue your shopping in Knightsbridge. Vistit Harrods and Harvey Nicols department stores. Have your lunch at Harvey Nicols 5th Floor restaurant. Try the new Burger and Lobster Restaurant!

Dinner and Drinks
Vertigo 42 Champagne Bar. Situated in the heart of the City at Level 42, Tower 42, 25 Old Broad Street offers great drinks and great view from the highest point in London.Advance booking is required.

Sunday
Get a takeaway coffee and finish your trip with a walk at Regent's park or Hyde Park. Have lunch at a traditional pub. Try Audley pub,  located in the heart of Mayfair on the corner of Mount Street and South Audley Street.
